Modo adds 3 new styles to its successful retro collection, with lightweight titanium fronts and plastic temples.
The styles incorporate retro silhouettes and vintage elements such as fine filigree metal detailing. Filigree is a delicate ornamental work made in gold or silver. Used since antiquity—filigree work dates from 3000 B.C. It reached a high point during the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 1930s. The romanticism and detail of antique filigree has made it continue to be more and more popular through the present day.
Each frame is handcrafted by Japanese artesans under the strictest quality standards in the market. Colors mix understated and classic: Antique Gold, Antique Pewter and Brown.
The new additions are part of the broader Modo collection. All collections will be presented at Mido 2011 in Milan and Vision Expo East 2011 in New York.
