Often the ProDesign designers want to challenge themselves as well as the material they work with. How can you take a flat sheet of metal and give it volume and make it interesting without making it clumsy or bulky? The solution was to make a number of steps in the temples which creates depth in combination with the beautiful colors.
Usually when the ProDesign designers work with metal, they have used two, maybe three colors, and in this collection they have used no less than five colors! This was possible due to the structure of the pattern on the temples. The frames are first painted in the basic color and then each step is colored by hand. This is a slow and very accurate task.
The colors are mostly classic autumn tones and some more lively colors for those who wish to make a statement. The shapes are also classic with just a pinch of retro fashion.
Three feminine shapes and two masculine shapes, in four colors each and all suitable for progressive lenses.
