VisionWeb, today officially announced the start of its bi-annual Money Madness Sweepstakes by giving away Apple® Retina Display iPads® to two eyecare practices who entered the early registration drawing. This year, there are more than $13,000 in cash, supplier credit, and prizes to be won, the most VisionWeb has awarded since Money Madness Sweepstakes was introduced in 2009.
The Sweepstakes runs from September 16 – November 10, 2012. Participating accounts earn entries into prize drawings for meeting an assigned weekly order goal on VisionWeb.com, and for ordering multiple types of products (spectacle lenses, contact lenses, and frames.)

“VisionWeb’s Money Madness Sweepstakes has evolved over the years into a fun way to encourage practices to use our optical ordering services, and to reward them for utilizing technology in their businesses,” said Heather Smith, Senior Marketing Manager for VisionWeb. “Since 2009, we’ve awarded nearly $60,000 in cash and prizes to 81 practices through Money Madness. We’re excited to keep that momentum going with even more great prizes this year.”
Prizes will be awarded in eight weekly drawings, held each Monday during the Sweepstakes and one grand prize drawing will take place at the end of the Sweepstakes period. Participating practices can stand to win the following prizes:
- Weekly Prizes – Eight Winners: $500 in Supplier Credit, $500 Bonus Prize Package
- Grand prize – One Winner: $1,500 in Supplier Credit, $1,500 American Express® Gift Card
To make the sweepstakes more interactive, participants will have the opportunity to vote for one of two prize packages ($500 value) that they would most like to win each week. Bonus prize packages to vote on include:
- Set of five $100 AMERICAN EXPRESS® Gift Cards.
- Kindle Fire™ Package which includes a Kindle Fire™ Case and a $250 Amazon® Gift Card.
- Nikon® D3100 Digital SLR Camera.
- Set of five iPod Shuffles® and five $50 iTunes® Gift Cards.
- iPod Touch® Classic with JBL OnBeat Speaker Dock.
- Samsung Galaxy Tab™ and a $100 Best Buy® Gift Card.
- Ultimate Gift Card Package which includes a $100 AMERICAN EXPRESS®, $100 Amazon®, $100 Starbucks®, $100 Best Buy® and $100 Target® gift cards.
- Samsung® 37” 1080p LED HDTV.
The package with the most votes will be awarded to that week’s winner, along with a $500 credit to the VisionWeb supplier of their choice (a total $1,000 value per winner). The cash and electronics prize packages serve as an individual reward for the practice to enjoy at their will. The supplier credit portion of the prize serves as an investment in the practice’s future business with their supplier(s) over VisionWeb.
The sweepstakes is open to all U.S. VisionWeb members who order on VisionWeb.com or through integrated practice management systems.
