Kenmark Group Releases New Displays For The Launch of Original Penguin Eyewear Collection

The Kenmark Group is releasing new displays for the launch of its Original Penguin Eyewear collection. In keeping with the Original Penguin look and feel, each display provides a cool way to display the hip new vintage-inspired eyeglasses and sunglasses. The new displays are reminiscent of the 1950’s with wooden freestanding fixtures. These countertop displays offer everything from a “Pete” the Penguin Logo Block to an Image Holder featuring imagery for the brand. Designed to be used individually, or in a group, they’re sure to catch the attention of the Original Penguin customer.

The new items include a “Pete” the Penguin Logo Block (3 frame requirement), Munsingwear Logo Block (3 frame requirement), 2-Piece Display (8 frame requirement), 3-Piece Display (10 frame requirement) and an Image Holder Display (6 frame requirement). Counter cards, postcards and a banner are also available by request.

Original Penguin Eyewear Launching at Vision Expo West

The Kenmark Group, through a license with PEI Licensing, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Perry Ellis International, NASDAQ: PERY), confirmed that it will launch Original Penguin Eyewear and Sunwear at Vision Expo West in Las Vegas, September 22–24.

Original Penguin Eyewear is reinventing retro with a variety of mid-century shapes invigorated with modern design elements. With 18 vintage-inspired ophthalmic and 5 sun styles for men ages 18–35, Original Penguin Eyewear is proving true the familiar adage: What’s old is new again.

The collection includes both plastics and metals in retro takes on black, gunmetal and tortoise. Frames feature distinctive design elements such as keyhole bridges, metal plaque accents and vintage shapes reminiscent of the Rat Pack era.

“Original Penguin adds a fresh layer to Kenmark’s portfolio of men’s brands,” said Jason Wehlage, Kenmark Product Designer. “The collection is specifically for the guy whose confidence allows him to set his own standard for what’s cool.”

Each frame is accompanied by a distressed brown saddle case lined in midcentury blue flocking, in keeping with the Original Penguin look and feel. Original Penguin Eyewear and Sunwear will be distributed through optical retailers in the U.S and abroad. Original Penguin retail sunglasses, releasing in Spring 2012, will be available at Original Penguin store locations.

Kenmark Adds Six New Frames To Its Thalia Eyewear Collection

Kenmark is adding six new frames and unveiling a new illustrated look for its Thalia Eyewear collection. Each frame is inspired by International superstar, Thalia.

With vibrant colors, playful temple décor, unique embellishments and flirtatious shapes, the new Thalia collection exudes metropolitan glamour, modern romanticism, and a touch of Latin flair. The Thalia woman lives life out loud and isn’t afraid to express herself with bright colors and bold designs. The collection is geared towards strong, confident women ages 18-35+.

In conjunction with this release, Kenmark is introducing a new illustrated look for Thalia. The collection offers six new frames in masculine shapes ranging from a sporty aviator to a modified rectangle.
